Surrey and London Driver since the age of Eighteen

Just recently Sue & Paul bought me a new car an NK reg so just 8-9 years old a petrol manual. The car is a Ford Fiesta Vignale Turbo and is actually one of the most cool cars I've ever driven and owned.
Maintenance wise I had to replace the battery which turned out to be the original first battery, the sat nav software was updated so that I can use Apple CarPlay for Waze and during it's full service there was an oil change. One tyre was replaced. Not bad considering. The air conditioning is the only function I can get fixed in order for it to be like brand new... aside from the mileage which was at 39,600 when mum bought it.
So far I've been on the A3 & A2 with it but am not really a motorway enthusiast in my old age. So for Surrey roads which I know really well as I've lived here since the age of eight and London driving it's perfect. When mum drove it to my place and I saw it I was petrified, but I think that is healthy for someone who takes driving really seriously. Since then I've gotten used to it and it is rather like a cool grown up toy, eek.
Before satnav we had the A-Z which when I started driving we used all the time; as a young driver I was full of confidence. I drove up, down and around all manor of motorways in my youth to many locations due to my work in the camera department. In Northampton where I worked for one year I got caught three times going just above 30 by the same speed camera on my way to work, because I had one speeding ticket for driving on the M25 previously had to go to court over it. The only time I've ever stood in the docks, luckily I was fined and my driving licence wiped clean. Most recently in this car I had to attend a speeding course as I was not aware the speed limit all over London is 20mph this meant I did not have 3 points on my licence. The car is ULEZ compliant so I've registered with the congestion charge automatically so now I just get charged by DD when I pass into the zone. I went without a car for a couple of years and my last car was such an old diesel banger I sold it for £200 and was happy I didn't have to keep maintaining it, for obvious reasons with that only drove locally.
Really happy to be driving again, with work it has opened up loads more opportunities, locations I can get to with comfort and ease. Thanks Allan for finding it for us!
