I've just applied for an apprenticeship with ScreenSkills as an Asssistant Colourist which is a great follow on from someone who has experience in Compositing; of which I have loads. I would end up at Molinaire a company that I had previously worked for but had a problem with me as I didn't have a tax UTR code. Since I have remedied this and am Self Employed so do have an accountant to help with the tax office.

I learnt of DaVinci Resolve or Colouring by Blackmagic Design from Analog Studios whilst working on a commercial for Apple. It did make me chuckle as the crew was majority Italian and so the Sup who operated DaVinci Resolve was aptly named the only Colourist.

On the hardware side you get to use these kickass buttons and roller balls!!! Which you can use to colour!!!

The software can be downloaded for free so that you can learn it...

I tried to transfer my new showreel to the editing software, but it was just quicker to use FCPX.

Check it out man!!!
